Women’s Introductory Pistol Course

– 2 hour course

– 4 Rules for firearms safety

– Parts of gun and ammo

– Learn grip, stance, eye dominance, sight alignment and sight picture

– Learn about recoil

– One on one time at the range

– Shoot a .22 and/or .9mm pistol

– Shoot 20 to 30 rounds of ammo

– $75 per person plus range fees

– Minimum of 2 people; Maximum of 5 students

 

This two hour course will teach you how to safely handle a firearm and take the mystery out of how it functions.  This course is for you if you have never shot a gun before, have any reservation due to a past experience or want a refresher of the basic.  The course starts off in the classroom and then proceeds to the range for one on one training.

 

In the classroom we will cover the crucial firearms safety rules, parts and operation of a semi-automatic pistol, and the basics of how to shoot. You will learn about eye dominance, gripping the pistol, using the sights and the foundation of a good stance.  All these things will prep you for the time on the range.  On the range I will be with you as you shoot a .22 and/or a 9mm semi-automatic pistol.  The pistol and ammo is included in the cost of the course.

 

Learn to shoot in a safe envirment and have a fun time while doing it.

 

 

Advanced Pistol Course

– 4 hour course

– Review items from Introductory Pistol Course

    • 4 Rules for firearms safety
    • Grip, stance, sight alignment and sight picture

– Learn how to draw from the holster

– Learn transitioning from one target to another

– 200 rounds of ammo (not included in course price)

– $125 per person plus range fees

– Firearm rental with holster $20 (if I provide the firearm)

– Minimum of 2 students; Maximum of 5 students

 

Prerequisite – you must have taken the introductory pistol course or be able to safely and confidently shoot a pistol.

 

This class will take your shooting to the next level. You will learn to confidently and safely draw from a holster.  You will be transitioning from object to object using paper and steel targets.  This class will qualify you to take the concealed carry test to get your license and prepare you to learn to draw from concealment.

 

 

Drawing From a Conceal Carry Purse

– 3 hour course

– Review 4 rules of firearm safety

– Review grip, stance, sight alignment and sight picture

– Learn how to safely draw from a conceal carry purse and engage your target

– Bring your own purse if you have one or one will be provided

– 50-100 rounds of ammo (not included in course price)

– $150 per person

– Minimum of 2 students; Maximum of 5 students

 

Prerequisite is to be able to safely and confidently draw from a holster and engage a target.

 

There are techniques on how to hold and carry a conceal carry purse that we will discussed. You will be drawing from concealment and engaging targets during the range time.  This three hour course will teach you how to safely draw from your purse.

 

Pistol Course 

6 hour class

– Learn how to draw from the holster

– Learn transitioning from one target to another

– 200-300 rounds of ammo (not included in course price)

– $175 per person plus range fees

– Firearm rental with holster $20 (if I provide the firearm)

– Minimum of 2 people; Maximum of 5 students

 

This course is a combination of the introductory course and the advanced course. This course is a total of 6 hours.  The 3 hour classroom portion can be conducted in the comfort of your home or another classroom type environment.  The 3 hours of range time can be held that afternoon or on another day.  After completing this course you may be eligible to take the conceal carry test .

 

In the classroom we will cover the crucial firearms safety rules, parts and operation of a semi-automatic pistol, and the basics of how to shoot. You will learn about eye dominance, gripping the pistol, using the sights and the foundation of a good stance. You will learn to draw from an outside the waistband holster.   All these things will prep you for the time on the range.

 

Girls, Guns and Guts

This is a 2 hour course for women to continue building on their pistol handling skills. The prerequisite is that you must have successfully completed a pistol class with me or have taken the ALTAIR TAC 1 class.

You don’t want to miss this course since the drills we do vary. We may be moving and shooting, shooting around barricades or doing accuracy drills. This will normally run on the third Saturday of the month from 9:30am-11:30am. Please check my website and Facebook post to verify the dates. The cost is $45 and after class you are welcome to say for open shoot at no extra charge.

 

Private Session

– $50 per hour plus range fees

– Minimum of 2 hours

– Firearm rental with holster $20 (if I provide the firearm)

 

If you want to learn to shot in a private setting or advance your shooting skills in a one on one environment this session is for you.

 

Conceal Carry Weapons License Course

– 4 hour course (2 hours in classroom and 2 hours on the range)

– 4 Rules for firearms safety

– Grip, stance, sight alignment and sight picture

– Learn parts of the firearm and ammunition

– Learn to safely manipulate a firearm (load, unload, rack the slide)

– Discuss Florida CCW laws, effects of adrenaline on the body, and situational awareness

– $125 per person plus range fees

– Firearm rental $20 (if I provide the firearm)

– Minimum of 3 students; Maximum of 5 students

 

This class will qualify you to take the concealed carry test to get your license and prepare you to learn to draw from concealment.

 

If travel time for any course is more than 1 hour expense for travel cost and housing, if applicable, must be covered.
