2018 NRA Annual Meeting

Last weekend was the 2018 NRA Annual Meeting in Dallas, Texas. It was jam packed with meetings, vendors and great entertainment. A huge thank you goes out to my friend Fernando Martinez for being a gracious host and showing me around Dallas. The energy I felt from being around so many kind, gracious like-minded people was phenomenal. I love meeting up with old friends and making new ones.

I attended two ladies functions; one was the women’s luncheon and the other the energy breakfast. When I am in a roomful of smart, energetic, powerful women I can’t help but feel empowered and energized. These NRA ladies are definitely part of the movers and shakers of the world and I am proud to be a part of them. Events like this keep me motivated to share my story, help empower women and fight the war against sex trafficking that claims the lives of so many young girls.

When I wasn’t in a meeting or making new friends I was meeting with vendors, like UM Tactical, CMC Triggers, Vortex and ZroDelta to name a few. Events like this are perfect for getting some one on one time with vendors to discuss their products.

After the meetings and miles of walking the floor to visit with vendors I did have time to kick back. The NRA had a Country Jam with the Randy Rogers Band and a concert with Travis Tritt and the legendary Charlie Daniels. At the age of 81, Charlie Daniels doesn’t miss a beat and still nails the ‘Devil went down to Georgia’.

I met some wonderful people on this trip and I look forward to seeing them in the future. This trip was successful, fun and adventurous. I can’t wait to go to Indianapolis for next year’s NRA meeting.
